On my resume for law school, I'm trying to put an honor society description. Anyone in the top 1-10 percent of their class can enter. Should I write top 10 percent or LOWER or HIGHER? Which one would indicate 10 percent, 9, 8, etc.? Thanks.

No need for such a description. Law schools will read your LSAC academic report which will contain class ranking.

My school doesn't rank. That's why I'm trying to make it clear under the description that I'm 10 percent of class or (higher/lower, not sure), more around 7 or 8 I believe.

"top ten percent" necessary includes that. Saying "top ten percent and better" or any equivalent is meaningless and will make you sound stupid, and if your school won't indicate your rank beyond top ten percent then it's a bad idea to try and figure out some way to imply that you're actually top 7 or 8 percent.

Your school doesn't rank yet you have an honor society that limits admission to a percentage that, by definition, ranks you?

They just tell us if we're in the top 10 percent.

I am in the same situation (non-ranking UG with honor society membership as only indication of my class rank). I think I put "requires membership in top 10% of class." (Three acceptances so far, no rejects, even though I applied in late December.)
