awards section and deans list

Hi,

Is there a proper format for this. Should I put the award, put a bullet or two underneath describing the award, and then skip a line before the next one.

For example:

Award A
-Description and qualification

Award B
-Description and qualification

ALSO, if I was on Dean's list for 5 semesters, should I write:

Deans List
-3.4 semester GPA or higher GPA

Should I include the semesters and years or at least the number of semester, and if so, where would I put this?

This is how I setup my dean's list / GPA information:

University of X Location

B.A. in Basket-weaving expected 2100
Overall GPA: 3.5; GPA in Major: 4.0; Dean's List ever semester (unless your Dean's/honors list has really wacky requirements I would leave it at this)

-Honor's college
-Title of senior thesis if you did one.
-Good place to put in something like Phi Beta Kappa etc.

To add on to what I said above, I am generally a believer in the idea that shorter is better. For any obvious academic awards - for example cum laude etc. - you really don't need to put in the qualifications unless they are way out of the ordinary. Also, any qualifications that are straight GPA related generally don't matter that much as they will already see your overall GPA. On the other hand, something like being in the top 10% or better of your class or a significant writing requirement could be put in.
