Question for Character & Fitness Add

I'm submitting an addendum for C&F; it was a summons for consumption of alcohol in public (stupid and petty of me but what's done is done). The Summons specifically states that the violation does not constitute a criminal charge. Although I plan to submit an addendum in the interest of full disclosure, some of the law school apps ask questions to the effect of "Have you ever been convicted of a criminal offense" or "of any felony or misdemeanor." The way these questions are worded, technically the correct answer is no. However a few of the schools' electronic apps won't let me submit an addendum if I do answer No. Thoughts? Does it really not matter - should I just answer yes and then attach the addendum?
