Why "X" Statement Question

Post by livinglaughingloving » Tue Dec 27, 2011 11:28 pm

Hello everybody,

I'm really close to FINALLY submitting all of my apps but I was wondering if those of you who submitted a "Why X" essay literally named the statement "Why X" or is there another more formal name for the statement? I know this probably doesn't really matter, but I'm being a little nit picky and would appreciate any insight! Thank ya! :)

It depends on the school. Some schools ask for a "supplemental essay" or specify that they want an "interest essay". There's no need to title your law school essays. However, in my essays, I echoed whatever the application said in the header of my Word document.

Thanks! Yeah, I'm not actually titling it, but I was wondering what to save it under, and what to put in the header, like "Why X Statement" or "Interest Essay" if they don't specifically ask for a statement. Hopefully they won't mind that I am including it!
