Resume Help - Class Rank

I am wondering what people typically do for class rank when it comes to your resume...

This is how my education section is currently organized:

Bachelor of Arts, Social Work, May 2012
XXXX University – XXXX Town, XXXX State
GPA: 3.873/4.0

I am in the top 5% of my class which I think it notable and I would like to include it but I'm wondering if this is typical or advisable I guess...would I just put a line saying "Top 5% of graduating class" underneath my GPA? Or "Class Rank: Top 5%"? What have other people done or does anyone have any input?

Thanks.

I know some schools ask for class rank in the flexapp, but otherwise, it's probably fine just to note it as you say (though I don't think anything outside of valedictorian or saludictorian is worth noting specifically. I would also remove the /4.0. They know your grading scale is out of 4.0 unless you went to a foreign school

My advisor at the career center on campus said that you should include the /4.0, for reasons like what ben just said.

I would include it on my resume. If you don't have the space or can't find a way to include it organically, every app has an "academic honors" section where you can indicate your class rank (especially if class rank is used to determine latin honors).
