I know SC's site says that a good number of candidates go through a second review and no signs should be taken from this - good or bad - but I was wondering if anyone out there has any experience with this

I'm pretty sure it's something they just started this year, so no one really has any knowledge about it.

FWIW, in the past few years, there has been no rhyme or reason to the status updates. It does not mean anything if it is updated a second time (nor does it necessarily mean you are "closer" to your decision than others who only have been reviewed once.)

I imagine the first decision round should be coming out a little bit later this month though. Good luck all!
