CUNY's personal statement requirements

I am borderline about applying to CUNY as a safety school but am unsure of whether i should or not because of my personal statement. I have a very strong statement that I am using for all schools I apply to but CUNY has some specific requirements:

"Please address the following questions within the context of your personal statement. There is no minimum or maximum length requirement.
your reasons for wanting to be a lawyer;
your reasons for wanting to attend CUNY, a public interest law school;
your strengths;
any economic, social, or other obstacles that you have overcome in the course of your education or life;
if you worked while in college or graduate school, you should discuss the effect of that work on your academic experience."[/list]

I believe my statement already addresses just about all of these things, though not explicitly (except obstacles because I have no serious ones to write about). Do you think If i didn't adhere to their statement questions and used my own it would be highly looked down on or negate my application. Again, I'm not that serious about applying there but figured I'd give it a shot.

If your numbers are strong I would just go with it, but I have no idea about CUNY.

numbers are above 75th percentiles. I think I'm going to just send it out as is.

They care about their numbers more than they care about their personal statement requirements. I think you'll be fine.
