3.8, 169: Full-tuition?

With a 3.8 and 169, along with decent softs, which law schools ranked at least 30 or above would offer a full-tuition scholarship or close to it?

For example, would schools like Notre Dame, Emory, or George Washington offer a full tuition scholarship?

Most of the midwestern T20s and T30s will give you a full ride (IUB, UIUC, possibly WUSTL, if not then close to it).

Emory doesn't give full rides, but if you have good softs you might be competitive for a Wentworth scholarship (they only give out 4). That's full ride plus 3k a year.

GW I think will give you a substantial but not a full ride, unless you get admitted ED.

I'm not sure about notre dame.

You will get substantial scholarship to Vandy / UT / USC with those numbers, possibly even Duke, which I would argue beats a full ride at a T30 school unless you have a compelling reason to be in that region (it sounds like you don't). You also have a slim but not negligible shot at Michigan and UVA, possibly Penn, although you might be stuck paying sticker at those schools. Also, Berkeley will probably take you, although admissions there are pretty random.

BC/WM/BU/Fordham should give you substantial aid, as you are at or near all their 75%.

According lawschoolpredictor.com, you're an accept at #18 USC and below. I've ignored the consider/strong consider schools.

Considering that (according to the site) you're an admit at over 10 schools in the Top 30, I would say you have a good chance at a scholarship. As far as full-tuition is concerned, I have no idea.

3.8 169 would most likely get you into Cornell, UCLA/UT and possibly Duke/MVPB

My numbers are slightly better than yours, and I got a little over half tuition from Notre Dame (75K total).

Retake for a 170+ and I bet NU would strongly consider you for the full-tuition ED program.

Apply ED to BU. Acceptance guarantees you full tuition scholly and you have a much better shot than Northwestern

That's assuming he's applying next cycle. OP, are you? If so, it's a good idea. If not, the ED deadline at BU already passed.

I am applying this cycle. My applications should be sent off very soon. With that in mind, any other advice? Any advice would be appreciated.

I think you need to weigh cost reward benefit.

You'll prob get money to Cornell, and Cornell at 100k is a better buy than 50k for IU: B when COL is factored in. It may be a bad example, but a filet mignon steak for $10 is a much better buy than a big mac for $2.

OP, where do you want to practice? If it's a specific region that has a T30 that's the best school in the area that will give you big money, go there. (Examples: Bama for Birmingham, UIB for Indianapolis, WUSTL for St Louis, UMN for Minneapolis).

If you want a big market, or you want options, blanket the T14 (except HYS, that'd be useless. CCN is a very long shot but not unheard of). Paying more for these schools is pretty much universally seen as better than a full ride at a T30 for most people.

Just FYI, Emory does offer a full tuition scholarship. Its the Woodruff scholarship and pays for full tuition and fees, and gives you a $3000/yr stipend for books, rent, etc. You do need a LOR though (one that is not one that you sent to admission)

I think that it might be tough, but possible to get a full tuition scholarship at schools ranked 30 and above, but I do think that you should look into other T1 and T2 schools that offer good programs/clinics in the fields that you want to practice. They might not have T14 prestige, but are great schools with lots of opportunities, and you might be more qualified for full tuition scholarship.
