"On DATE, I attended a concert in CITY 1 with five friends. On DATE+1DAY at 3:00 a.m. I was pulled over for speeding while driving from CITY 1 to CITY 2 with my friends. I was the driver. My friends and I were dressed strangely because we had just attended the concert, and the police officers decided to search the vehicle. They found cocaine and MDMA in the van and arrested me for possession of a controlled substance. After reviewing the evidence, the district attorney decided not to press charges. Charges were never filed, and I was never arraigned."

I searched a bit for example addendums but most of them involved underage drinking and the likes... Is this detailed enough? Should I add anything?

Well, for one thing: It leaves me guessing whether you actually did possess cocaine, or if one of your friends had it and you were somehow legally liable.
Also, why is it relevant why they searched the car.

Too detailed. Just say when you were charged, what you were charged with, and what happened to the charges. Don't even use the words cocaine and MDMA.

They searched the car, and that is how they found drugs. If the drugs were mine should I mention it? Likewise, if they were a friend's, should I mention that?

I was never charged with anything. I was arrested, processed, and released then informed that the DA would not be pressing charges. To clarify, the charges were not filed and dismissed, they were never filed at all.

Addendum should look like this:

On X date, I was arrested on suspiscion of possessing a controlled substance. After investigating, the district attorney chose not to press charges.

But if I were reading that, I would want to know what happened.

If the adcomm requires additional details, they will ask for them. Otherwise, you've disclosed everything that you needed to. No need to provide further details which only make OP look worse.

Of course, what I really meant was that I'll defer to Harvey Spector's smirk.

I'd also go vague on the details(don't lie), but put in a sentence or two on what you learned/how you're not an idiot any more/etc.

I wrote one for drugs and one for alcohol, but mine only involved the school. I can Nessus tlyou it if you want to read it. I cut it down a lot. This reminds me of when my friends were driving to meet my friends and I at a festival. They were pulled over for tailgating, lied to the cops, cops searched the car, and one of the passengers had opana, oxy, Molly, etc, 5 felonies basically. You're really lucky they dropped it, but it sounds like a fun concert. Were the drugs yours?
