should i wait for end of year to send app??

Post by julesss » Mon Nov 21, 2011 11:56 pm

I am having a dilemma--I currently have a 3.37 GPA, but expect my overall to go up to a 3.4 by the end of the semester (I have all As in all my classes so far)....is it worth it to wait until the end of the semester, when my GPA will be slightly more competitive?? I feel like a 3.4 sounds way better than a 3.37..... or is it worse to put off my app when most schools will have accepted way more students already??

Apply now and submit an updated transcript once your fall grades are posted. Even if you submitted tomorrow, I doubt many/any schools will have returned a decision by the time your semester ends.

This.

And no, a 3.4 is not way better than a 3.37. Both are well below the median at 99% of T1 schools.
