shall i wait for RLs?

I have asked two professors to write for me. And they agreed. one of them faxed the letter this Tuesday but it has not yet been processed. The other has not faxed or sent it. I have finished the other part, PS, CV etc. Should I apply now? And if I do so, how can I add RLs after my application is submitted. would they be automatically added? Or do I need to update the application?

I remember the apps asked you to assign a letter, so if you were not able to assign the number of letters required, I don't think you could send your app.

that is what i thought. but i saw a thread, someone saying RLs can be faxed later to schools. so I just wonder if I could do the same to save some time.
