In June of 2008 I was cited for surpassing the speed limit, however the police officer only cited me for a non-moving violation of “failure to obey traffic signs” and stated that points would not be added to my record because of this. The precise information of this ticket is not known and the DMV did not have any record of this incident.

No, if you were only cited for a non-moving violation, then you weren't cited for speeding, as you say in the first sentence.

You might be able to find the ticket on your county's clerk of court website.

Basically I was speeding but the guy gave me a lesser ticket as a semi-break

Also on the actual ticket I remember it was obvious it was for speeding. The guy checked "failure to obey traffic signs," "non-moving violation." Then wrote down "80 in 65"

Lol its not about me asking to put it or not. Its about the question stating they need all this exact information for my app to be complete and to check the dmv. The DMV doesn't have a record of it though (which I explained in my explanation)... I'm asking if people think they will have my app as complete with that explanation

That makes more sense- while you were speeding you were cited for failure to obey. It doesn't seem like they really want an explanation though, just the facts of the ticket. If you could find it on the clerks' website (or call the traffic division of your county courthouse) and get a copy, it would probably be easier.

If you live in an area with multiple courts, make sure to find the right one (municipal vs common pleas, etc)

I remember the area it was around / probably in 1 of 3 counties... I guess I'll just try to find it that route. If not I'll roll with what I have and call them if it ends up becoming an issue

I'm just dumping everything on my addendum. I imagine that the bar is going to want to see it anyways.
