Cornell - Influenced to apply box

It says I have to fill in this box... but what if you weren't influenced by anyone?

Is it required? I would assume that many students end up leaving the box blank. Some keen applicants may list the name of a professor, referencing a piece of work (s)he completed. But this seems disingenuous - they ought to appreciate the honesty of a blank response.

It has an asterisk.. so I guess it's required. So should I just write "No one"?
