Addendum for LSAT 3 pt jump?
I know that there are other posts with the same question floating around- I'm just trying to get some sort of definitive answer.
My LSAT went from a 166 to a 169. On TLS the consensus seems to be that I don't need to write an addendum. However, some of the school websites I'm looking at (Cornell's in particular) say that if you feel that one score is more indicative of your abilities than another score, you SHOULD explain why the school should consider the higher score.
Also, I just called Cornell today and this really young-sounding woman answered the phone and was all like "Yeah you should totally write an addendum! The more information we have the better!".
So is an addendum a good idea or would it only emphasize my lower first score?

I wouldn't write for a 3-point jump. It'd just make you look neurotic, IMO.

It's a bad idea. Those scores are in the same score band. Nothing to see here.

That's what admissions folks always say about addenda. Don't take it seriously.CattyPake wrote:I just called Cornell today and this really young-sounding woman answered the phone and was all like "Yeah you should totally write an addendum! The more information we have the better!".

Typically, no addendum is necessary for a score within three points.
