Top Law Schools

Okay, I'll just jump right in. I have a 3.4 GPA with an extreme upward trend (2.something to between 3.5 and 4.0 for my most recent semesters) because of some personal issues. I took the LSAT and got a 160. I desperately want to get into Utah, and their website says that they would like a 3.6 and 161. It may be noteworthy that I do fall into the minority category, and have worked in the law field for the past five years, taking part in some very large cases. A couple have even gone before SCOTUS (I was fortunate enough to go to Washington and sit in for the full length of the Supreme Court hearings--very cool). My questions are: should I retake the LSAT, or would my upward trend and 160 be enough? I am so close to what I "should" be at that I could really use some guidance. Also, if anyone could advise me as to my personal statement, I would appreciate it. Would it be better to write about overcoming personal adversity (thereby explaining my poor GPA early in my academic career) or about the cases I have worked on with my office? Or, perhaps combine the two?

What kind of minority are you? If you are AA you'll almost certainly get in to Utah, and should probably be aiming for something higher.
