Taking time off & PS

Hey folks,
I'm planning to work for a couple of years after graduation but would ultimately like to attend law school. I've already written a personal statement (I was originally thinking of applying this year) talking about my motivations for going to law school, but the problem is, my job during these years will be completely irrelevant to why I want to practise law, so I don't foresee myself mentioning it at all in the PS. So my question is - is it okay to take a couple of years off school to work on something else but still use a personal statement that just talks about college experiences? I would like to avoid changing the PS because unless I decide to scrap law school altogether, my reasons for going to law school will probably stay the same and I want to convey that in my PS.
Thanks!
