2 questions from an international applicant

Post by rachelwang712 » Sat Oct 15, 2011 8:26 am

I am an international applicant. I have been working on my application lately but I found two questions.

1 LSAC requires me to send TOEFL score to them but I do not know their code. I am wondering how I can request a copy sent from ETS.

2 They also ask me to send official transcripts. So I just need to ask my school to do so without attaching a letter or something to explain who I am and my LSAC account etc?

Thanks in advance.

1 You can find LSAC's institution code in ETS's system. I think you can also find it in LSAC's official website.
2 You need to send the Request Form along with the official transcripts.

Thanks.

One more thing, I am in a double degree program. One of the institutions I have attended is in Japan. I am now back in Shanghai. That institution said they would not send the transcript for me. Instead they would send the sealed one to me and let me send it. Can I do that?

Since LSAC requires the transcript be sent by the institution, you'd better have the transcript sent in Japan, in the name of that institution. Though many Chinese students do send their transcripts by themselves, they won't send transcripts in their own names. You may also consult LSAC on what to do.
