+1. You aren't doing yourself any favors by rushing this cycle and taking under-prepared + late in the game.

Thanks for the advice. I've come to terms and it looks like I'll be applying for 2013, which is pretty much waiting another two years from now. Bummer...
Realistically, what sort of improvements can one see after 6+ months or prep for 4-5 hours a day? Is it likely to see a +20 increase? Granted, I did have a certified-idiot score of a 145 on my unrealistic first-time-looking-at-the-practice LSAT.... I obviously have nowhere to go but up. But +20 just seems way out there.
Was anyone on the same boat?

if you are serious, 20 points from a diagnostic is not out of reach. do some searches on this site and you will see many people who did just that

Study a ton and take June Lsat.

Postponing for the year, while immediately disheartening, is really the best thing you can do for your chances. Definitely wait for and take the exam in June. That will give you enough time to see the gains you're looking for to actually give you a shot at the school you want to attend.
