LSAC processing the app

After LSAC processes your application, do they send it to the school, which then notifies you that your app has been received? How long does it take for LSAC to send your report to the school for it to be complete?

Also, I just applied ED to Georgetown and was wondering if they e-mail you your admissions result, or if it comes in a letter, since I'm abroad and am having mail forwarded to my parents.

Thanks! Sorry to be so neurotic.

As far as I can tell, the process goes like this:

1. You finish your app, check out, and pay the fees.
2. LSAC sends the school some kind of notification that you have applied.
3. The school logs on to the LSAC website and requests your report.
4. A period of time passes - at least a few days - and then LSAC sends your report.
5. The school - usually - sends you a notification they have received your applicaton (may be delayed).
6. After a few days or longer, the school processes your application, creates a file, and sends you a second email with status checker information.

So for schools have ED deadline at Nov 1st, as long as one submit his application on LSAC before Nov 1st, one should be OK, isn't it?
