I am currently working overseas and have no mailing address to receive decisions. I have had people try to mail packages to me from the states and they never arrive, presumably the customs agents steal them. The government is very corrupt. Anyway, how will this work if a school only does snail mail decisions?

Can you have it sent to a parent or friend's address back in the states? I know it's not the most exciting option since they'll get your decisions first, but that's what I'm doing while abroad.

I can do that, but I actually don't have any friends that I know will be living in the same place by next summer.

Also, there are mail receiving services. Some forward the mail to wherever you are, and some will open your mail, scan it and email it to you.

It might not matter. A couple schools choose to email me pdfs of documents in the acceptance packet since I listed a foreign address. Similarly, schools emailed rather than called my foreign phone number.

Maybe you can contact admissions and explain that the post is not secure where you're living and ask about alternatives.
