A+ in LSAC GPA

Can someone possibly explain how the LSAC use of A+ in determining GPA isn't a shaft job for those of us whose university did not give A+ grades? I had classes with final averages over 100, but the university could not report an A+ grade, so I just get an A. Just seems a bit unfair, no?

I made sure to only get one A+ in all four years of college so as not to go into law school with an unfair advantage.
