But how helpful is lsn, really?

First of all, couldn't people lie? It's not like all the data on there is verified to be accurate.

Second of all, people may be less inclined to report rejections than acceptances, so the data that IS on there may mistakenly lead someone to believe they have a better shot than they actually do at a certain school.

It's the best chances-gauging tool out there IMO.

There are problems, but I think admissions trends play out well enough on the graphs that it's a great tool.

Yes. It's not verifiable, but it is definitely worthwhile.

Although some data may be incorrect, lawschoolnumbers.com is a helpful guide regarding liklihood of acceptance, rejection or waitlist decisions by particular law schools as well as sharing scholarship information. Some of the graphs reveal definitive patterns.

It is for tier 1 schools since they all have enough applicants on LSN so that you can have a pretty good idea of where you fall, what schools are targets/reaches/safeties etc. I imagine it isn't very helpful for less popular schools, you'll have to rely on LSP, medians, and index formula (and relative weight of each factor) to get an idea.

Law schools seem to do their damnedest to make sure there's as little information about raw numbers, floors, etc. out there as possible, so LSN is inordinately useful.

Its true that people could lie, but you arent really looking for individuals with LSN, you are more looking for patterns.

With the exception of 1 school, LSN "predicted" my cycle accurately.
