This didn't even cross my mind until I started filling out apps and encountered the question about crimes or offenses, but I was ticketed for underage drinking while a freshman in college. I went to court and paid a fine, and I don't really remember how the offense was characterized. Obviously I should disclose this information. Is there any chance this could affect my chances of admission to law school? I have a 3.98 and a 174, and I'm applying to top schools. I'm assuming/hoping that something so minor would not play a role in the decision process, but I wanted to get some input from everyone else.

it won't affect anything, also i'm not even sure you have to disclose it. this probably falls under 'minor citations' or something, i don't remember the exact wording.

if you want to be safe, disclose it, but it's not a big deal at all.

You definitely do have to disclose this. I have no empirical evidence but TLS wisdom is that this will not effect anything.
