When do applications come out? (very confused)

I thought they were supposed to be out by mid-August. I'm trying to apply through my LSAC account but according to LSAC, most of the apps won't be up until Sept. 1 or possibly later.
Do schools post apps on their websites before they post them on LSAC?
And if not, then where are people finding their official LoR forms?

The LOR (and transcript request) forms are through LSAC, and are not included in each school's individual application form. You can get your LORs submitted before the apps are available.
