Top Law Schools

I started classes this week but i am still wait listed at a school whose orientation begins monday. I have already accepted that it is probably impossible to be admitted off the wait list this late. However, i have heard stories of students not showing up at orientation and a spot opening up. I have not yet signed a lease and i am crashing with friends. If admitted is it possible to attend after already starting classes at my current school and paying tuition?

Not going to swear by it, but I think I heard UCLA took someone off their waitlist like the second week of classes. I would imagine it's either 1) I'm miss-remembering, 2) some kind of urban myth or, and this isn't exclusive of the other two, 3) probably a bad idea, even if true.

Anyway, there you go.

Short answer would be "yes." I have heard of this happening, although I would imagine that it is extremely rare.

I already paid tuition, would i be out the money?

It really would depend on your school's tuition refund policy. You should look into that as I am sure it varies by school.

If this works, please let us know. I'm sure everyone would be interested. Though, obviously there would probably not be many slots so it is possible this is happening and it still wouldn't be someone on here.
