First, let me apologize if I put this in the wrong forum: I was not sure what the best location would be for this topic.
I graduated from college and am now taking a year to work between college and law school. I was wondering if there were networking opportunities for pre-law students such as myself (such as pre-law chapters that are not affiliated with a school) that I could get involved in.

Pre-law networking opportunities....hmmm, TLS?
Seriously though, the only reason you would want to network with other pre-law kids is to get advice and assistance. You can do all of that right here. Everything from LSAT prep to school selection and editing personal statements is covered on here by people a lot more knowledgeable than you could probably find in a random pre-law group. I suggest spending more time on the boards.

Also, be very wary about the advice you get at pre-law societies. Some of it is flat-out wrong. For instance, I rolled my eyes when they discussed at length the importance of building up your extracurricular activities and paid only lip service to the importance of maintaining a high GPA (for those who didn't take this advice with a grain of salt, there was a strong possibility they believed that extracurriculars are more important to your application than your GPA).
TLS is a pretty great network to get involved in. There's a TON of great information on how to get into top schools, how to do well at those schools, and ultimately
how to get a job as a lawyer.

Thanks! I have already (and I am sure will continue to) find TLS very helpful

. I guess I am just looking for a way to meet other pre-law students who live around my area to find out about opportunities in the legal/pre-legal field around my area specifically.
