I heard they were things like "why Yale" or "list your activities in college". Does anyone has a copy of those questions(or know where to find them)? Thanks!

I haven't heard of a "why Yale" question. I would doubt it. I think its self-evident.

There are a bunch of questions that can be pulled from your resume. I am trying to remember where I saw them. I think if you google Yale Law School resume, you will get a page that has an explanation that they accept a resume but still expect you to answer Q#X, Q#X, etc even when submitting a resume. These included things like academic honors, etc. It seemed to me they would be pulled almost directly from a resume though and not require additional work.

yale makes you list all your activities, awards, jobs, etc. for no particular reason. they also have a 250 word essay on any topic.

harvard's app is typical.

Thanks. I'm asking because I would like to finish them before semester starts.

your PS and the 250 are all you'll need to do ahead of time in terms of writing, unless you have a disciplinary record or wish to do one of the extra essays

diversity statement, 'why x' essay (although i'm not sure anyone does that for YLS and HLS...seems unnecessary.

Did the Yale application last year. Vast majority of stuff is similar to all other college apps. Biggest difference of course is the 250 word essay. Like all other written portions of the application (personal statements, diversity statement [if required], etc.) I recommend taking a look at examples. TLS has an amazing section of personal statement examples.

For the 250 word essay, however, I really recommend tracking down 2-3 example statements. This is not so much to gain a format of how to write yours, but rather to realize how unrestricted the 250 essay is. The few examples I was able to find were incredibly diverse and artistic in their own way.

I've seen many comments before that the 250 word essay is the most challenging yet invigorating thing you will do on almost any law school application. I would treat it as such.

HLS doesn't require anything special.

Yale has the 250, a few questions where you list jobs, activities, etc, and a one that asks you to describe what you have been doing since you finished college (if you took time off). You also have to disclose if you received help preparing the application, and if you took an LSAT prep course.

I see this topic as 1 of threepossible situations.
1) Anyone is a name of a person and you are claiming that they have the ap. questions in which case your question mark needs to be a period.

2) You intended to say "anyone have"

3) You were going for a type of collective noun such as "who" and figured you would replace it with "anyone"

Regardless of the situation, I would advise proof reading your application answers
