LOR Question

Hello All,

I currently have two solid LORs from academic sources at my undergraduate institution. I have been a paralegal at a law firm for the past year. Do you think it is necessary to get one or more LORs from attorneys at the law firm, or should two academic letters be sufficient? From my research it seems academic sources hold more weight, and I don't want to bother attorneys with LOR if its not a benefit to my application. Thanks for your help.

Two academic ones are perfect, but I would go ahead and ask an attorney at your firm for a LOR if you think they'll write a strong one. You don't necessarily need to send it in with your applications at first, but LORs are good to update your application with later on in the cycle for schools you're waitlisted at or just haven't heard from. They give you a nice reason to email the school, because if you don't have anything to add to your application, LOCIs can be tough to write.
