I'm one year out of undergrad (just finished a master's degree) and was filling out my profile on lsac. I saw they had a section on allowing my undergrad pre-law advisor(s) see my application information. Will these pre-law advisors be of any assistance to me or do they only help those still in undergrad/on campus?

I was four years out of undergrad when I applied and actually did receive assistance from former my pre-law advisor. Although, I had to seek her out. In any case, it was useful finding out who she was and receiving help getting dean's certification and things like that.

I graduated in may and sought advice from my advisor this summer. I had her proofread a lot of my "Why X" essays, and she was tremendously helpful. Try contacting your advisor, it can't hurt to see what he/she has to say.
