New England Law School placed many people on wait list this year. Just recently, they sent out letter to entire wait list notifying them that they will accept the first people that send in a $500 check. Thus, they will take almost anyone. They must have had an enormous decline rate this year.

Seems to be a bit of a logic fail there. Taking anyone on the waitlist (by definition people they wouldn't auto accept but thought they might later consider) is hardly the same as taking almost anyone.

That said, lawschoolnumbers.com suggests it's actually quite a challenge to get onto their waitlist. Even the folk who tried super hard - i.e. 152/2.18 didn't manage.

Hey, my son had 146 on the LSAT and 3.1 GPA in accounting and got on the waitlist. His friend with a 145 and 3.2 got on the waitlist. It can't be that tough to do.

Desert Fox, you seem pretty smart. Why would you even need to ask a question like that? It could be many factors:

1.stupidity
2. bad test taking skills.
3. Bad ability to read quickly under severely timed conditions.
4. strange conditions at the test site
5. In adequate preparation, alhthough my son studied for 4 months solidly each day
6. Inability to understand logic or critical reading questions.
7. Guaranteed job connections; thus allowing attendance at any law school
8. Inability to postpone law school for another year.

I could go on forever,but you get the point.

No he wasn't. Any person who can slog through the dense material that is accounting and the detail oriented tests and still get a degree in accounting can do better than that with absolutely zero studying whatsoever. I'm think he either didn't really try that hard, or maybe his cellphone and laptop cut into 3 months and 28 days of that study time.

Just pointing out inconsistencies. He also did say one possibility his son effed up the test is he's stupid. As far as I'm concerned that opened up the door quite wide.

Many of these factors would indicate he's not good lawyer material.
