"Important Notice Regarding Electronic Applications"

I got this email from LSAC, as I'm sure we all did. What does this mean? Does it just mean that any old 2011 apps will expire? Or does it actually mean something?

Yeah, it just means that the 2011 cycle is over and the 2012 cycle will begin on September 1. Some schools accept transfer applications all the way into July, so now that those are all done, LSAC can wipe the slate clean if you will. If you're applying in this upcoming (2012) cycle, you're still having to wait until apps come out in September, so it doesn't affect you.
