What to wear for meeting with the dean?

I setup a law school tour and meeting with the Dean at one of the schools that waitlisted me to discuss my application. Is something like khaki pants, a polo, and sperry's/penny loafers underdressing? Should I wear a suit?

At minimum I would wear dress shoes and a button down. I'm unsure if a suit would be overdressing or not.

Listen, Dean, I know you want my tuition dollars, and you know I want a piece of paper from this school. So, how about a swig of of this JD and I'll catch you in the fall?
In all seriousness, I would go with a shirt (no tie), some slacks and dress shoes. GL getting off the waitlist.

I am leaning towards a suit. It's not overdressing, right?

Suit is overkill, t-shirt and shorts is underdressing. Anything nice-looking in between will do fine.
I had a meeting with the dean of a law school for a scholarship interview and I just wore dress pants and a blouse (I'm a girl) so anything comparable to that'll be perfect.

Seem classy and down to earth. Nice clothes but not a suit and tie.
