If you was LGTB society president, would you put that on your applications to law school. I know the US can sometimes respond differently to the UK.

i just feel that some areas of the US in general are a bit archaic when it comes to LGTB i mean you only got marriage in certain states, I mean look at the Republicans and all, even the democrats had a 27% negative view on homosexuality and the republicans- 45%. I think its fair to say that in terms of LGTB movement the US is/was a bit behind the UK.ahduth wrote:justwondering123 wrote:I know the US can sometimes respond differently to the UK.
You were an LGBT society president. Do you actually want to go to a school that would ding you because of this?justwondering123 wrote:i just feel that some areas of the US in general are a bit archaic when it comes to LGTB i mean you only got marriage in certain states, I mean look at the Republicans and all, even the democrats had a 27% negative view on homosexuality and the republicans- 45%. Intolerance among the college-educated is significantly lower, and that's who will be reading your application.justwondering123 wrote:i just feel that some areas of the US in general are a bit archaic when it comes to LGTB i mean you only got marriage in certain states, I mean look at the Republicans and all, even the democrats had a 27% negative view on homosexuality and the republicans- 45%.
