Golden Gate is not a second tier school - it is tier four (TTTT) at best, and even at a full ride you will have tough luck finding work. I'm pretty sure Drake is in the same boat, and I'm not 100% sure Phoenix is even accredited.jable500 wrote:I am trying to choose between a second tier law school (Drake, Phoenix, and Golden Gate) and a lower ranked top tier law school (Denver, USF, and Depaul). What are some of the advantages of the second tier school?
Some things about myself: I don't want to work at a large law firm. I'm interested in public or government work, and I enjoy smaller schools (UG ag Simpson College). Any advice would be appreciated.
Drake is at the top of the third tier and places better than any other school at the largest firm in Iowa. It's not a good choice if you want to leave central Iowa though.jump_man wrote:Golden Gate is not a second tier school - it is tier four (TTTT) at best, and even at a full ride you will have tough luck finding work. What are your stats?
Also, when you evaluate scholarship offers, be sure to check what stipulations exist for maintaining the $$$
Something weird happened with this thread. I definitely did not post this yesterday.bk187 wrote:You're comparing Tier 2 schools (those ranked 51-100 are known as T2's in TLS parlance) with Tier 4 schools. The distinction is fairly meaningless and these are all generally pretty awful schools.
In general T2 schools are only worth it with a very large scholarship and T4 schools are basically never worth it even with a large scholarship.
Or you are Tyler Durden.bk187 wrote:Something weird happened with this thread.
