T14 scholarships

Post by pineappledazzler » Thu Jun 30, 2011 11:44 am

I've been told I have a good chance to obtain scholarship $ from the lower end of the T-14. I was wondering if these schools tend to notify you of awards when you've been admitted, or wait until more time has passed? Ie: some schools seemingly tell you you're in (or not) as early as December if you apply in early October, would they notify you then?

Scholarship info almost always comes sometime after you're admitted.

Depends on the school and the type of money. Columbia awards named scholarships with acceptances (Hamilton and Butler), but most of the rest of the T-14 give out scholarship info later in the cycle after admission.

okay, thanks. I guess I just meant any non-need-based scholarships (merit only). Seems like it'll be a longer process than anticipated!

Ha, I applied the first day of apps came out. Decided where to go about three weeks ago. I definitely thought it be much shorter then it was. Be prepared for a long ride unless you ED.
