Do Law Schools in general have any bias in admitting people of certain majors? I doubt it's a big factor, but I'm just curious. I have a 4.0 GPA currently, double majoring in Political Science & Philosophy, with a minor in Economics.

nope, at least not those, but they'll have a bias against your 160.

Holding all other factors constant, a candidate with a 4.0 in basket-weaving from DeVry will get in before a 3.7 in Chemical Engineering from MIT every time.

Not if the class median is 3.69.
Add, I think Y/S may take a 3.7 from MIT over a 4.0 from DeVry, if all factors hold constant.

I've heard of problems with majors viewed as lacking academic rigor (criminal justice, music performance, etc.), but I suspect admission committees will look the other way if they need to.

There is a long term advantage admitting people with more marketable ug background and skills. If employment stats figure more prominently into the ranking system then maybe degree will matter more.

Which doesn't refute my original statement.
