After I ask and confirm that my recommender will be writing me a letter, all I do is:
1) Add them to my List of Recommenders on LSAC and print out the LoR form
2) Sign the form with my signature
3) Give the form to the recommender
4) The recommender writes their own letter, then mails the letter along with my LoR form to LSAC's address
5) Wait...then get notified that it was received online via LSAC.
6) Check off L1, L2, etc. when applying to law schools.
Right?

Right?
You're missing a step.
ETA: Two, actually.

Looks good. Don't forget to give them a deadline

Looks good. But to be more accurate, I would subdivide step 3 into:
3A) Give the form to the recommender
3B) Remind the recommender
3C) Beg the recommender
