Do Law school reports on class profiles omit low gpa outlier

Do law school reports on class profiles omit low gpa outliers? When it says "low" gpa, does it mean the LOWEST, or does the school's profile use the range from the median to the highest gpa and use this range to determine what LOW is?
Here is Yale's law school GPA stat:
http://www.law.yale.edu/admissions/profile.htm
It says that the lowest gpa is a 3.4. Does that mean there's practically no hope for those below/far below that gpa?
Thanks.

That would be Yale's LSAT and GPA range.
Most schools on their websites will either post their range (this is more common with the tippy top schools) or they will post their 25th/50th/75th percentiles.

I forget to mention that I ask because of the report found on this site regarding "low" gpas.
http://www.ilrg.com/rankings/law/index. ... esc/GPALow
As you can see, Yale's low is reported as a stellar 3.77 gpa. Bah?? Hence, my question to the first question regarding Yale's own definition of low and whether or not they omit outliers.

I don't know why that website is doing it like that but the low/high are the 25th/75th if I'm not mistaken.

So, if someone got into Yale with a 2.9, Yale probably wouldn't report it....?

They would have to report it to the ABA/USNWR. As for reporting it on their website, that would be up to them but I doubt they would mislead people by omitting a number while pretending it was the entire range. If someone got into Yale with a 2.9 and they have a history of reporting the entire range on their site, I don't see why they wouldn't. Their website currently shows that someone with a 158 got in.

Dood, it's extremely unlikely you are getting into any of the top three without at least a 3.7, more likely a 3.8.

those numbers posted are inaccurate, wustl for exaple lists 3.3 as lowest GPA, while I know that tons of people here are low GPA splitters, like me.

And a 180 3.4 by itself isn't getting you into yale. In the past the people we've seen get in with low gpa's/lsats were legacies or people who had something extraordinary on their resume, like the author of prozac nation.

If I were writting a profile page, I might exclude someone who got LSAC pwnd. For example, took one class at community college while in high school, earns a B, then goes to a UK school and 4.0's it. LSAC would say that's 3.0, while everyone else in the world would call it 4.0.
But 3.4 seems like a pretty fair lowest GPA at yale.

wait i don't get it.
The "low gpa" and "low lsat" means that's the lowest they've accepted? or it's the lowest of their RANGE?
The former would mean that anyone with a GPA lower than 3.3 has not been accepted to any on the first page of the list.
//edit//
oh i see. the first website is the range and the second website (Yale's) is the actual data.
