You ask an important question. Letters of recommendation are the most useful when they are written by someone who really can attest to your character and academic record. Letters of recommendations can demonstrate your strong capacity to succeed in law school, even if your LSAT scores may not be stellar. Of course, there is no guarantee. It just makes the AdCom think twice about you as an applicant. Hope this helps!

Not exactly a LOC, but you have a foxy avatar.

Anyway, californiabeauar, in relation to GPA and LSAT, the LOR is not that important. However, a generic or lackluster LOR can hurt you. But it's doubtful that even a glowing recommendation will help you perform above your numbers.
