GPA LSAC Question

Post by itoito » Tue Jun 07, 2011 9:13 pm

I got an interesting question regarding transcripts and LSAC.

Basically I attempted to apply to law school during my senior year, 2010-2011 (so the transcripts I sent out to LSAC around October, only had my first 3 years of grades on them). Due to some credits mishaps, and not reading requirements properly I have to come back for another year (so 5 years) to finish my degree.

However, my GPA dropped a bit due to some insanely hard classes I took in senior year (2010-2011, I just finished my senior year but i have to come back for another year), (from 3.9x to 3.8x).

Now I am attempting to apply again to law schools for 2012 cycle, and I am wondering if I should send in an updated transcript, or just send in a final transcript after acceptance????

Thanks alot!!!

You have to send in an up-to-date transcript.

However, I wouldn't worry too much about a drop from 3.9x to 3.8x. Is it worse? Yes. Is it a dream killer? Probably not.
