I also went to UCLA ! I called UCLA law admissions advisors to ask the question you are asking here! They pretty much told me "the smaller the pond, the bigger the fish" you have to be -- personally I know someone who transferred from USD to HLS. I think transferring is doable but I think you have to go from a T2 to a T1 you can't do T3/4 to T1!! I agree with everyone here to wait. I am waiting and I'm kicking myself that now I will be older and everyone knows big law wants to squeeze at least 8 years out of a person
I work for a superior court now and it's good experience/connections. Waiting sucks but find something worthwhile to do in the meantime! Justice corp/peace corp/start a company etc. Do something to 'wow' on your app. I also considered Stetson because my father lives in Tampa -but I would only EVER go on half or full scholarship.
