I'm an graduating senior at UC Berkeley and throughout college I've mainly taken the minimum required to stay full-time each semester. I work part-time, but not much else. Will this hurt my chances in the admissions process and do I need to include this is an addendum? My LSAC GPA is around a 3.9...

All they will care about is your GPA as that's all they report to US News. With a 3.9 you are golden.

Agree with the above poster, GPA is all they care about. Don't waste your good GPA for a substandard LSAT score. Good luck.

Wouldn't a 3.9 with minimum coursework look worse than a 3.9 with more coursework or even a 3.7 with a ton of coursework? I know law school admissions is a 'numbers game' but to what extent?

No one will care. The difference between a light course load and a heavy course load isn't even worth one point on the LSAT.

A person with an engineering major with a 3.9 might win in a tiebreaker but the boost is very small. No way that a 3.7 looks better in 3.9 in any situation. Relax, you have a great GPA.

With a 3.9, you're good to go, no matter what.

Think of it as 85% numbers 15% everything else.

Yes, except it's probably about 95% numbers.

I have the same problem. I'm a tad worried they may count a light courseload against me but people say it doesn't matter. As long as I complete my major within four years, who cares that I didn't go above and beyond....right?
