Application advice

Post by butterfly » Tue May 10, 2011 9:20 pm

I was wondering who would be a good source for law school advisement? My graduate school is primarily medical/health related degree programs (PhD, MD, nurse anesthesists, etc).

I am trying to find information regarding application timeline.

From what i gather, the typical application timeline is October-March. I may be incorrect. I would like to take the October LSAT.

Q: Would I be able to apply for entry in 2012, if i take the Oct LSAT?
Q: When does the year begin, meaning month? Is it August?
Q: Is there a good place to find a timeline to make sure I stay on track with the app process?

Thanks

Yes- you can apply. The application process is rolling- so you can apply from september through march. However it is better to apply earlier. Take the October test, and send out your applications after it- if yo udont like the score take it again in December.

School starts sometime in August

yestderday- got to LSAC website and sign up. You have to pay a fee but its the only place to send your application materials to

Now through summer- figure out who will write a letter of recommendation on your behalf. You need to get 3.
Now- Ocotber- Study for the LSAT. Use this site as a reference.
Day after October LSAT- Write your personal statement and fill out the applications. Get them ready to submit when you get your score back.

Regarding apps, I think anytime before Thanksgiving is optimal.
