Bad undergrade grade in law

I have a 3.5 overall GPA with a 3.9 GPA in my major. My lowest undergrad grade was a C- and it came from my business law professor. He knocked me down two letter grades from an A- for not attending his class. I worked full time my last two years of college and he was a stickler for attendance.

With that in mind, should I address the C- in my applications?

no. i imagine the best thing you can write is basically: i got a C- for not attending class regularly. this is not the most compelling addendum.

many people have Cs and go to great schools. don't sweat it.

Only if you go to George Washington University. It's fatal if you do. Assuming you don't, then don't worry about this. Schools might choose to ask you about it and you can address it then. But many will overlook it.

Wut? I had some Ws and a C- out of GW and it didn't affect me negatively.

ETA: Oh. I get it.

Don't address it. You can't help but come across as whiny/paranoid when addressing a single bad grade.

At my undergrad, classes with law in the course name are nothing like law school. I can even say this as a 0L; they're pure memorization of laws and multiple choice about them, almost no case law/hypothetical discussion, etc. So, I wouldn't think it would hurt you more than any other C-, unless that particular school views undergrad law classes as indicative of law school performance.
