LSAT over GPA

I know there's a thread about it somewhere, but I couldn't find one that accurately laid out definitive answers for schools that prefer LSAT over GPA.
Out of the T14, which schools care more about LSAT than GPA?

I think they all care about LSAT more but there are definitely minimum GPA standards at all top schools.

Berkeley seems to care about LSAT the least but I would guess that is more due to their holistic approach that favors softs more than a preference for GPA over LSAT.

If you combine good work experience with a high LSAT, NW doesn't seem to have much of a GPA floor. I'd also say GULC seems to have a lower floor and Cornell to an extent as well.

I'd just hammer away at this: http://www.lawschoolpredictor.com/wp-co ... ograms.htm

But yeah NU loves WE.

Okay, so not including WE/softs, just LSAT vs. GPA.
And I'll start pounding away at predictor lol.

Look on law school predictor in the "LSAT/GPA ratio" column. The schools with higher numbers tend to place more weight on LSAT scores (ie Columbia at 3.62 or Michigan at 4.50), while the schools with lower ratios tend to care more about GPA (ie Stanford at 2.01 or Berkeley at 1.67).

I would caution, though, that if you are a big splitter then LSP won't work for you. It does not take into account the hard GPA floors at many schools. PM me if you'd like an in depth discussion of a splitter cycle.

UVA ED - you can get in with a low 160 LSAT if you have 3.9+ gpa

Berkeley - they don't favor GPA more than LSAT but compared to other schools GPA matters more.

It depends, because GPA cut offs/preferences move kind of on a sliding scale. Within the T14:

3.7/3.8+ for HYS
3.5+ for CCN (within CCN, it seems that Columbia favors LSATs more than NYU)
3.0+ for MVP, though Penn seems to prefer 3.1/3.2+ and V will occasionally take <3.0 with an ED. All of MVP are pretty splitter friendly with ED; without ED, M is probably the most splitter friendly.
B is always a crapshoot
NU doesn't seem to have a floor if you have good enough WE with a stellar LSAT
D prefers 3.4/3.5+
3.0+ for CG, although C tends to want a little higher and G will take some sub 3.0s.

Duke and Cornell both tend to take homogeneous applicants - Cornell takes a TON of 3.8/168s, for instance.

MVP all seem to be 50% at 25th GPA 75th LSAT (3.5 and 170).
I guess softs and LORS are big for that tipping factor. Seems like at a certain point a high LSAT will get you everywhere excluding the top 5.

If by certain point you mean GPA minimum, then yes. Although keep in mind that even if you pass the bare minimum GPA floor, a lot of T14 schools are waitlist happy with their splitters.
