Breaking early decision contract for work opportunity?

I was admitted through ED at a T14, but I have been offered a unique work opportunity that could help me in my future law career and make me interesting to potential employers. What are the politics of not attending next fall after being admitted through ED? I have not yet made up my mind on whether I would choose to defer.

I believe withdrawing from ED is fine as long as you don't go to another law school this cycle.
That being said, I think the only negative ramifications is that the school might waitlist/reject you if you reapply there.

I thought the same thing, and I believe that I would like to reapply there even if I don't defer. The reason I'm thinking about reapplying is that A. I sent my application relatively later and B. I would hope that my experience (and perhaps another go at the LSAT) might give me some $$.
