also- "USNews statistical methodlogy discussion lounge" is weak. If they're locking the forum not to make changes but because of concerns over content, as claimed, the name of the forum would not be changed. The fails keep on coming.

That was just lazy, they didn't even capitalize it. Come on mods, if you are going to try too hard, at least try too hard enough.

Why is there still speculation as to the validity of this? They'd risk law suits over rights issues with regard to the publications of your articles, the selling of our information without consent, and several other issues. It would make no real business sense for USNews to purchase TLS. It makes more sense for them to simply start their own forum. TLS offers little to USNews beyond a small forum population and redundancy with the ranking and school profiles.

the mods are dumbasses, all you have to do is click on the last person to post in the lounge (the mod - I can't remember his name), go to his "recent posts", click on the thread header, and you're right back here to this thread. so even though they locked the forum, they did not lock the individual threads, leaving a backdoor open. this is probably just a retarded joke, which, I might add, is making me want to leave the site, I opened an account seeking advice, yet can no longer do that while this stuff is locked up.
