The general rule is that if your name ain't on a building, it ain't gonna help. Even then, we have no data to suggest that it would, only that it would seem so.

But with a 174 and no GPA, I'm confused why you aren't looking at CCN or even HYS schools. Go apply to a more highly regarded school --> Profit

Not entirely true. Penn is very into the one university concept. Children of law students get the legacy "bump" for UG (and special help in the admissions process). Don't know why it wouldn't work the other way around. Unlikely to be determinative, however.

I am looking at T6 too but can't count on admission to any particular school - am probably looking across the T14 and maybe a few T20 for safeties. Thanks for responses!
