Law Firm Hiring and College Grades

Post by nihilism is key » Wed Mar 30, 2011 9:54 am

How common is it for law firms to look at college grades during OCI in your 1L year? Does this hold true for OCI in the beginning of your 2L year? Or do they tend to focus solely on your performance during your 1L year? Assume top firms recruiting within the t-14.

Disclaimer:
0L here, so I'm pretty much regurgitating what I've read on these forums.
In addition, my answer is less relevant :(

But for what it's worth, I remember reading on JDU about a firm asking for an undergraduate transcript (and then cancelled the dude's interview afterwards). But the guy was sort of applying for a "patent" related job, so maybe that's why it mattered?~
