Hi, I am currently in a 4th tier school and would like to transfer to SW next year. Any suggestions on what class rank I need to be in? Any other suggestions? Thanks!

T4->T3 transfer is basically a lateral. Arrow's guide suggests top third to top 25%. But I think it wouldn't even require that.

Does the no. of spots open in the second year depend on how many people transfer out or drop out after the first year?

Well at least this a more realistic transfer than most people going into law school aim towards.

I would think it's possible, especially if you at the top 1/3 and the T4 school is in the L.A. area. They really focus on commitment to the L.A. area.

I'm curious about this too. I am originally from LA and I moved last year to go to law school on the east coast and now I want to move back. After midterms my grades put me in the top 18%. I'm hoping for Southwestern or Loyola. Anyone have any experience in transferring to Southwestern?
